BOOKING THE SHIPMENT
The Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) is as important to the proper expedition of a shipment as Breakfast is to an Olympic Athlete's daily performance.
when compiling information for the booking, the dox clerk should be sure to complete the following Form to provide mandatory information as required by International Standards and Law for the reliable and timely delivery of the goods.
The best  time to start compiling as much information as possible is during the BOOKING with the
Booking and Shippers Instruction Form
The information submitted in the Booking and Shippers Instruction form is entered into the Consolidation Datebase for the Bill of Lading and attached documents including CFS or Dock Receipts and Customs Declarations.
The Shipper must still provide their official Letter of Instruction (SLI), which will clarify, augment, verify and validate the information.  This document must be received no later than 24 hours prior to Cargo Receipt Cut-off Date
